Aide: Cheri Reish and Meg Olsen

Meg Olsen was born in New Jersey, and raised in Indianapolis where she attended the Herron
School of Art and Design. She graduated in 1997 with a BFA and then moved to Louisville, CO,
for a year, and L.A., CA, for almost five years, and then back to Indianapolis. She worked with nonprofit organizations as a Professional Teaching Artist including the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Arts for Learning, and VSA Indiana. She moved to Canon City, CO in 2013 and started working at MVCKS in 2014 as the 5th grade Teacher’s Aide. She took the art teacher
position in 2016 and now splits her time between the art room in the morning and the 4th grade Teacher’s Aide position in the afternoon. She is certified to teach Elementary Education and K-12 Art and is currently attending CSUP to obtain a Master’s in Education with an Art emphasis. Her daughter is attending Mountain View and is in the 1st grade. When Ms. Meg is
not working or in school, she spends time with her daughter swimming, playing at the park, or
playing make-believe and sometimes there is time for making art.

Cheri Reish was born and raised in Canon City and loves this town we call home.  She graduated from University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Elementary Education and minor in math.  Following graduation, she was a Reading Specialist in Pueblo District 70 and a 5th grade teacher at Washington Elementary.  She valued several years at home raising her three boys (8th grader, 5th grader, and 2nd grader).  She enjoys scrapbooking, traveling, watching the Denver Broncos, cheering her boys in their sports and spending time with family.  She is excited to be with fabulous fourth graders and the amazing staff at MVCKS!
